businesswoman, passed away on September 1, 2008 from complications following a stroke. Betty was born in Spring Creek, PA, in 1921, and lived in Reno since 1948. She was one of the finest independent businesswomen in Northern Nevada. Betty, together with her then husband, Mike Mirabelli, opened Mirabelli's Music City in 1955. Their first store was located in the Village Shopping Center near Reno High School, and then expanded to locations at Gray Reid's department stores in Reno and Carson City.

Mirabelli's then became one of the original tenants of Park Lane Mall i in 1964. Betty owned and operated the store from 1968 until she gave it to her nephew Buddy in 1999. In addition to her business pursuits, Betty's passion in life was golf. She pursued this passion at some of the finest courses in the world, and played extensively in the Reno area. gained many life-long friends on the golf course, and was an avid fan of the game, and especially Tiger Woods, until her death.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, Margaret and Ralph Beezer and by her beloved sister, Peggy Lehman. She is survived by her brother, Jack Beezer of Chico, CA; niece, Linda (Steve) Lambert of Sparks; niece, Suzi (Jerry) Stempeck of Reno; nephew, Buddy (Lori) Lehman of Sparks, nephew, Vern Beezer of Chico; grand-nieces and nephews, Garrett Lambert, Rose, Casey, and Lauren Scarpa, Len Stempeck, and Jesse and Riley Lehman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1 p.m., at Walton's Sierra Chapel, 875 W. 2nd Reno, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery following the services. MIRABELLI MEZGER FULTON Betty Mirabelli, longtime Reno Joe Mezger, the greatest husband, Robert N. Fulton, 57, of Sparks, He first married Joyce Smart and had three kids, Randy, Jessica and Lance. He later married Chris Ferris in 1982 and extended his family with two children, Jessica and Justin "Jud" Domenici. They have been married for 26 loving years and are very proud to have a very, very large family that has been blessed with all of his love and happiness. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Chris Mezger.

Surviving parents are Joe and Barbara Mezger; siblings, Benay McGarr (Mike), Gina Zwolinski (Ron), Elliot Mezger (Paige), Paul Mezger, Pat Mezger and brother-in-law, Steve Ferris; children, Randy Mezger (Lisa), Jessica Faust (Ron), Jud Domenici, Jessica Clack (Jason) and Lance Mezger (Angela); grandchildren, Sophia (8), Brenden (4), Domenici, Alivia (6), Isaiah (3) Mezger, Austen (5), Ethan (2), Morgan Clack, August (4) Skylar (2) Faust, Chevy (9), Maggie May, (1) Mezger, adopted granddaughter, Jordan Ralston; numerous other extended and "adopted" family. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at Excel Christian School, 2285 Oddie Blvd Sparks, NV 89431. John T. CARTER John T. Carter, 93, of Reno, passed away September 1, 2008 at Renown South Meadows Hospital. He was born March 22, 1915 in Columbus, OH to John and Rosa (House) Carter. John was a draftsman for most of his life, first working in Hawaii for U.

S. Steel, and later for many years in Reno, where he lived for 30 years. He enjoyed managing his investments and dealing with stocks and bonds. John served in the United States Navy from October 1942 November 6, 1945 during W.W.II, and was honorably discharged as Quarter Master 2nd Class. He is survived by two nephews, John McCain, Yuba City, CA and Darryl Bowe, Bakersfield, CA.

Private services have been scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Walton Funeral Home in Reno. Scott Bradley CHRISTIE Scott passed away suddenly on Monday, September 1, 2008 after enjoying a few days of fun and relaxation with family in Graeagle, CA. Scott was born in Reno on September 13, 1971 to Gary and Sharon Christie. He graduated from McQueen High School where he played Varsity soccer.

He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in' 1998. Scott recently began working for the Washoe County School District as a locksmith and looked forward to a long and happy career there. Prior to working for WCSC he worked alongside his father, Gary and younger brother, Brian at Dunseath Key Co. Scott belonged to Washoe Lodge and AM and enjoyed working the annual crab feed and many people enjoyed seeing him there. Scott recently became a coach for AYSO soccer.

He was the coach of his daughter Marissa's team the Panthers and because of his dedication to the team and love of the sport the Panthers will be playing in the tournament. Scott is survived by his love and wife of 14 years, Selene; their 10 year old daughter, Marissa; his father, Gary and his second mom, Laura Christie; his mother, Sharon of Ventura CA; younger brother, Brian of Ventura, CA; Justin and Kelly Erickson of Greenbrae, CA; his in-laws, and Marilynn Rasmussen of Globe, AZ; his grandpa, Jack Colvin and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Louise Christie; Mary Colvin; his cousin, Wally Lopey and aunt, MaryAnn Graham. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Washoe Lodge 601, West Peckham in Reno.
